Arman Tsarukyan vs Mateusz Gamrot

Last week's technical battle between Damir Ismagulov and Guram Kutateladze reassured the fight fans of the depth of this lightweight division.

If that fight was entertaining then we are in for a treat this weekend, with two fiercely ranked prospects facing each other in our main event.

Arman Tsarukyan has been on a tear since his notable loss to Islam Makhachev and has won five in a row to earn this main event spot.

Coming off two knockouts and performance of the night accolades, he has proven the depth of his skillset to the true fight fans.

Arman is a pressure-heavy wrestler with tight boxing defense and the strength to impose his will on his opponents.

This weekend he has a tough test ahead of him in Poland's latest hope for a champion, Mateusz Gamrot.

Gamrot is one fierce opponent who has been on a great career path of his own.

He has been one of the top fighters in Poland winning and defending two belts in KSW while staying undefeated.

This fight should be amazing, and we are in for a treat as these two top prospects will go head-to-head across 25 minutes to clear the top 10 picture in this stacked lightweight division.

UFC Fight Night Best Bets

Our first best bet comes on the Light Heavyweight bout this weekend between Carlos Ulberg and Tafon Nchukwi.

Carlos has been one of City Kickboxing's brightest talents, he took a debut loss on his journey to adjusting from kickboxing to MMA but showcased a complete game in his last outing. So at a 2/1 price tag we'll take a stab at the Kiwi prospect.

Our next best bet is a 2-leg parlay between under 1.5 rounds in Chris Curtis vs Rodolfo Vieira and Shavkhat Rakhmonov to win.

Curtis is an explosive striker with 2 quick finishes in the UFC, whereas Vieira is a top BJJ practitioner who has never been to the scorecards. This fight will have a finish, and we think it will be early.

For our second leg, we are backing the top Kazakh talent in Shavkat Rakhmonov.

He is currently 15-0 with a 100% finish rate and has a very well-rounded skill set. This week he meets a hit-or-miss Neil Magny who is very hittable and controllable on the ground.

We think Shavkat will make quick work of this test and move to the top 10 of this division.

Our final bet this weekend comes on this much anticipated Lightweight main event between Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot.

Both fighters are coming off multiple finishes but against inferior opponents, it will be very competitive when they both compete this weekend.

We are unsure who will get their hands raised, but we believe this one will go to the scorecards considering the skillset and durability on both sides.

Picks:

  • Carlos Ulberg (Win market) @1.98
  • Under 1.5 rounds – Chris Curtis vs Rodolfo Vieira & Shavkhat Rakhmonov (Asian Total, Win market) @2.09
  • Arman Tsarukyan vs Mateusz Gamrot  to go the distance @1.97
  • Parlay all Selections - @8.45
