Khamzat Chimaev vs Nate Diaz Predictions

Khamzat Chimaev is backed to stop Nate Diaz with strikes.

Chimaev boasts an outstanding all-round game, meaning he is comfortable standing and also on the mat.

His aggression and power can break down Diaz and we are predicting him to finish the fight after a couple of rounds.

Khamzat Chimaev has won 10 of his 11 fights by stoppage so far and we are picking him to win by stoppage again on Saturday.

Khamzat Chimaev Form

Khamzat Chimaev boasts a perfect 11-0 career record and is closing in on a welterweight title shot.

Chimaev signed with the UFC in 2020 after going 5-0 in the minor leagues, and has made an immediate impact.

He tapped out veteran fighter John Phillips in the second round of his debut fight.

The 28-year-old followed that up with a quick win against Rhys McKee, before brutally taking out Gerald Meerschaert inside 17 seconds.

Chimaev’s run of finishes continued in his sole outing of 2021 as he submitted Li Jingliang in the first round, but it did come to an end earlier this year.

He was able to improve his professional record to 11-0, but for the first time in his career he needed the nod from the judges.

Chimaev went the full three rounds against former title contender Gilbert Burns, earning a unanimous decision.

Nate Diaz Form

Nate Diaz is fighting for the final time on his UFC contract and is looking to score his 21st career win.

Diaz is one of the legendary figures in the sport of MMA, but his status is not down to a mixed record that stands at 20-13.

He has, in fact, won just once since his shock win over Conor McGregor back in March 2016.

The American fighter lost the rematch by majority decision five months later, and he did not fight again in the UFC for another three years.

Diaz did make a successful comeback by beating Anthony Pettis by decision in the summer of 2019, but that is the last time that he has won a fight.

A doctor stoppage ended his failed attempt to beat Jorge Masvidal for the ‘BMF’ title.

It then became back-to-back defeats for Diaz when he was bested over five rounds by Leon Edwards in June 2021.

That loss left the fighter with a 20-13 record, with five wins coming by KO/TKO and 11 by submission.
