The latest MLB betting odds now show some clear favourites to win the world series, and this season is producing some great baseball.

There is more and more offensive play, and the pace is looking balanced in terms of whether pitchers or hitters have an advantage going forward.

The National League West is looking like the best division in baseball, with four capable teams of making the playoffs and possibly winning it all. There are other storyline races to keep out for, although, one being in the American League West between the Astros and Angels.

Two teams with multiple MVP contenders on their rosters, there is going to be a huge battle between the winner of that division, and fans will be eager to see who comes out on top.

Game 1 - San Diego Padres @ St. Louis Cardinals (Monday, May 30, 2022)

The San Diego Padres are rolling on all cylinders, and have been beating up on mostly every team that they have faced in a series so far.

Padres knows that this team is capable of putting on great performances, and they want revenge from last year.

San Diego has played better away from home, but they are starting to pick up home wins as well.

This game will be a tough one, but the Padres know they have advantages on multiple angles.

St. Louis Cardinals must feel good about the uptrend that they are currently on, and they are led by two of the best hitters in baseball.

Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt have been excellent for the Cardinals recently, and this will hopefully continue on towards the entirety of the season.

Starting pitching and bullpen problems have plagued the Cardinals this season, and they will look to address this issue in the offseason.

For now though, they are faced with a tough task this week.

Prediction - San Diego Padres Moneyline, in a tight match where the home team should narrowly win.

Game 2 - Washington Nationals @ New York Mets (Wednesday, June 1 2022)

Washington will be itching for a good series result against one of the best teams in baseball, and a division rival.

The amount of hits and runs this team has scored has been unfair to lose this many games.

Pitching has been a great issue for the team, and without staff like Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg, they must dig deep to find wins.

Offense is never a problem with the Nationals, but it seems like their pitching has been below average at times.

The New York Mets are rolling, and it is mostly due to the fact of the resurgence of Franchise player Francisco Lindor.

The ability this Mets team has was never in doubt. They will be firm favourites to take this matchup, and should barring no errors or huge mistakes.
